Have you guys read "The Maze Runner" series?

Read only if you're a gamer AND a reader.

Guys, I just wanted to know your views on this thing. If you've read the trilogy and the prequel by James Dashner, won't it make up an epic plot for a game? I mean, put all the four books in a single game and bam! There you are with an amazing adventure for gamers who don't read novels, and who do read novels, and yeah, fans of The Maze Runner-I'll be referring to it as TMR henceforth-as well. As for those who haven't read this book, it's about an amnesiac group of teenagers-BOYS-stuck in an unsolvable maze that's haunted by Grievers. Who's a Griever? Well, an assembly of all horrific weapons your mind can come up with. Need a body sliced in half? You got it. Need horrific, terrifying, spine-chilling shrieks? You got it. And you got zombies too, in the sequels. Not zombies, actually. Zombies don't have minds, do they? Meet cranks-zombies with minds, zombies who won't be fooled by your tactics, zombies scarier than you've known. So yeah, if it's to be made a game in the future, I know for sure I'll be super excited for it. It's like Prince of Persia (Warrior Within, that darkness. You've survived the Dahaka, right?) + The Last of Us (creatures and zombies and apocalyptic setting) and one hell of a storyline. I haven't read The Hunger Games trilogy yet, so dunno if that would work here. As for TMR, it's got enough science fiction to make up a nice game. Divergent, another competitor to this franchise, (in my opinion) won't as it is slow paced-and doesn't have enough creatures and monsters and puzzles like TMR. I ain't against Divergent, I love it as a novel. But if it were to be made a game, I don't think it would work. So yeah, comment what you think about this. And do comment if you've got any other novels in your mind that make up for a good game. I'd love to read them.

And yeah, thanks for reading!

I certainly think a lot of Dan Brown novels can have some good adaptations for Games.

Certainly Robert Ludlum novels like Bourne series deserve game titles which do justice :)

Bourne will be crap! I think Tom Clancy was the master of turning books into great games.

@Utkarsh: What do you think about Tom Clancy's action novels?

@Nordic: Yeah, HOW on earth did I forget Dan Brown?! I can't believe myself man, those plots are epic! :D

@Anirban: Tom Clancy is yet another great writer. I'd love to see his novels turned to games.
